Play With a Purpose

A unique early childhood curriculum was designed specifically for use at Toddler's Workshop Child Care Center.  The program design was coordinated by Virginia Nacy, the founder and Executive Director of Toddler's Workshop.  As a reading specialist and certified preschool and elementary teacher, Virginia Nacy considers current research, data collected from teachers, and available early childhood educational standards.  The educational program is always under revision and updated to reflect best practices in early childhood education.

Despite a growing trend toward academic instruction for young children, Toddler's Workshop Child Care Center believes that a high quality early childhood program allows children to be children in all that they do.  Children learn by doing.  And for children, "doing" is "playing."  The qualified teachers of the program plan with an understanding of child development and an appropriate scope and sequence of skills, guiding children to new learnings using "play with a purpose."

The entire program considers the developmental needs of  the whole child from birth to age 12!
